Project Description

Creative Coding Class Poster

A poster design for Creative Coding, a new class in Digital Art at the University of Oregon focusing on the foundations of computer programming for creating 3D prints, music, data visualizations, and apps.

Creative Coding is a friendly, beginners-level course that gets you into hands-on coding with the goal of creating tangible take-away objects and having fun along the way.

This design uses images of real objects and digital graphics generated through creative coding. There is a 3D render of a revolving sound wave which is actually derived from the spoken words “creative coding”. The poster also features an data visualization derived from historical climate data and a 3D printed rendition of a song’s fluctuating frequencies.
